I OWN this book: I have found that the more I look at and get educated by the great Model makers out there, the quicker I pick up new skills and techniques...and I don't make frustrating beginner mistakes as often. You can talk to a builder while looking at their project, but this book SHOWS you (step-by-step) how & what they are doing to get the final effects. Yes, the pictures can make you feel I can't make it look that good...the point is to practice the basics (scrap plastic, etc.) until you feel comfortable with the New. The techniques in this book work for many subjects: Imagination is your only limit...and there's a TON of references in this ONE book. Definitely worth the investment to boost your Build Skills.
