Great kit. Lots of detail. Build with top up or down. No flash. Lends itself to all kinds of add on details. Used as static display model.

This is an old model, that according to a timeline that I found online has been around since the mid 70's. Whether or not this was the case with this particular kit, I don't know. The kit I worked with could have been forty or more years old, who knows, I bought it on auction. I like the model, it's a great addition to any diorama. When first assembling the model, everything was a very good fit. There were holes and slots to insure correct assembly, and everything was a good fit, with the exception of the roof of the cab. I had to use a filler to close the gaps, where there wasn't the best of fits. There were no holes or slots for fixing the accessories to the truck, only pictures of where they were supposed to mount. This is an idea I have never liked. Give me proper attaching aids. There were also pieces that required holes to be drilled for mounting. Another idea I've never liked. The worst part about this kit; however, was how flimsy the material was. it was so flimsy, that several of the parts had warped on the sprues, making for an uneasy assembly. Regardless of how gently I tried to remove parts from the sprue, many of the pieces broke. I would recommend this kit, if you are an experienced modeler, and not like my self, just a hobbyist.

I built this kit years ago to find it was extremely fun! Trucks move armies and this was no exception as I remember the instructions to reflect on that theme as very interesting. Italeri models often fill gaps in WW Two vehicles of both the USA and Germany as I like to build and collect as many as possible and as they can be very interesting. As I remember the parts were very easy to assemble but following the instruction sheet was very important and attention to detail was needed. I built the sister kit to this one, the Mule which was the kit with the rear tracks which was also fun to build and collect and again needed attention to detail due to the suspension which needs to be accurate. They will make a great pair as Germany was ahead in many aspects and built vehicles for a very purpose driven mission. I recommend this kit to an experienced model builder due to parts alignment.
