The model is hard to work with, some of the parts are hard to fit. It does make a beautiful model when finished. I'm going to add a small lamp kit to make the statue glow. It makes a great decoration.

"Not as bad as it looks"

When i received my Lindberg Statue Of Liberty model to see the shipping box smashed on one end,that sent thoughts of plastic crumbs where there once was a model of lady liberty. Upon opening the shipping box and finding the model box equally as smashed i prepared for the worst. However,all the parts are intact with many off the trees so no harm no foul here. On to looking at the kit there is a moderate amount of flash and lady liberty herself will have four seams to fillalong here robe and one more at the head,arm and torch joint. Allthough rated at a two skill level i think this will challenge my seam filling and painting skills but looks like it will be a fun build I gave this a three because of the flash and some of the parts dont fit as well as i like but should make a fine show peice once painted properly.

It's nice to see that Lindberg is still offering this American classic, still made-in-America! But the tooling leave a bit to be desired. The fit of the parts - especially on the Lady herself - are pretty bad. It may be a useful kit for a quick grade-school project build, but a serious builder will find some real challenges getting the kit to look nice. Have lots of putty handy! That said, it is rather accurate, and the brickwork on the building base is very good.
