WWI Mk.I Male Heavy Battle Tank

I've had experience with different kit manufacturers over the years. One thing nice about the Takom Mk. 1 Male is that you are building a piece of history, and Takom took the time to get the detail correct. Another great part of the kit is the fit, it goes together like a dream, which is not easy when you look at all the different steel panels that go together somewhat (especially on the Sponson side gun housing) like a house of cards. The internal detail of the 6 pounder cannons and hotchkiss machine guns is great. The detail on the steerage wheels and the optional Sponson trailer is also superb. The only thing I wish I could change would be the instructions, which although are perfect in their instruction, don't have any parts marked. This is where your research comes in to find out why a little opening hatch is in a certain place (carrier pidgeons) (firing pistols) and so forth. There is no engine, but some great photo etch for the coverings of the extra transmissions located under the sponson guns inside. You can build it two different ways and it also comes with additional decals to represent specific tanks of those early days. Don't let the price scare you, you are getting a finely detailed kit, with no flash and minimal sanding and prep work. The track links look exactly like the real deal, and are very easy to put together as well. Thank you Takom!
