"BLI #1848 Express Reefer"

A very nice car. Out of the box mine weighed 130g, exactly the correct NMRA standard weight for a car of this length. Detail is passable on the ice bunker hatches but the running boards have no securing detail. Ladders, grabs and stirrups are separately applied and are very accurate, including the A and B ends of the car. However the hand brake chain is molded to the car body. The ends have the brake pipe and communicating whistle pipe but also the steam pipe. Rare in this price range. Printing is razor sharp. Under car brake detail readily seen is good but not full rigging. The high speed leaf spring trucks and all metal wheels and axles, well matched, allows the car to roll freely. There’s really no down side here, and they are a good buy, so they’re recommendable.
