Detail is everywhere with these cars. At 104g out of the box they are a bit light but they have given me no trouble. Broadway Limited is known for quality products in locomotives, passenger and freight equipment. This model is no exception. Separately applied details include ladders, foot stirrups, end grab irons, operating doors, nicely detailed journal box lids and air hoses. There is a staff type handbrake with rod and wheel separately applied and to scale as well. The wheels and axles are all metal with RP25 contours. Under car detail is below par for BLI, being not well molded on the car floor. Printing is sharp and data is correct, indicating a build date of 1932 with no COTS date, meaning the information is valid until 1942. These are quality cars at an attractive price, which means I can recommend them.
