Although we love more power, the E12-6 is not always the best bet for a 24 mm engine rocket. If your launch area is too small, you are most likely going to lose the rocket. If you want a better option....
Works as it should. No complaints. I have a few of these I have used. Be sure to rough up the inside and use epoxy or else it will not work.....
Another great offering from Estes. Nothing can be the price on this scale model. I gave it a four-star because it requires friction fit to put in the motor. If you use an engine hook, it becomes a muc....
The Estes black powder line is hard to beat in terms of availability and cheapness. Many people argue that the C6-5 is better but if you have high winds or a small field, the C6-3 is the proper choice....
Out of many good scale kits from Estes, this one is lacking so much. They tried too hard to be innovative with this one by having a screw on retainer and plastic parts that makes the model less fun t....
A good, easy to build kit at a low-cost price. It may go higher than expected, but streamer recover makes an easy landing.....
If you have a heavier rocket, you will have a dangerous lawn dart. On light rockets, these are great to use so you don't lose it.....
Works as expected, not anymore, not any less. Doesn't help greatly, but for inexperienced is a great tool.....
Great product for aligning fins. Always put the motor mount in first when using the jig.....
This is a very easy to build model if you have plastic cement. All the parts are the same as Alpha III. This kit is limited and is the 60th anniversary of Estes Model Rockets Corp.....
This kit is a very simple build for an experienced modeler. The added fins can be difficult if not done properly. The best flights are on an Estes B6-4 motor. I have launch over 5 times and not repair....
Many possibilities available with this kit. Easy construction with through the wall fins. Highly recommended.....
Just received it. I am going to fly on a B6-4 and hope that I do not lose it.....
Very easy, looks cool. Do not tape the nose cone to tighten the seal. It may not open when the ejection charge happens. Rocket will lawn dart and crinkle the tubing.....
Looks amazing. Easy to build. Fun to fly. Don't be afraid of using regular scotch tape when detailed painting. You will not hurt it if careful. ....
If good wind, do not fly on anything above an A8-3. Guaranteed loss on a C6-5 in 10 Mph wind if not a 5 acre field.....
Worst Estes product I have ever bought or received. Did not launch any rocket. The electro beam is the one to buy.....
Very easy to build. Waiting for a day with wind below 3 mph to launch.....
Tube guides conveniently tell what size a body tube is. Very good if build a scratch built, and don not know your tube size.....
The b6-4 engines will always light. They are good for fair sized fields and execelnts for 10 mph winds. ....
