Generally, I really like HAT's products. This one was probably my least favorite so far. The assembly was easy in concept, but the soft plastic made it difficult to get the pegs to go through the relevant hole. The prongs were also easily bent. I found it particularly difficult to get the reins on the horses. I think some of the pegs on the reins were too larger for the hole in the horse. Once I got the caissons and some of the horses assembled, I had difficulty getting them to stay together. Be aware that our intended usage - toys for an 8 y/o boy - may differ from other customers' intended usage. Just from looking at the box, I wouldn't have picked these for our usage, but the kid made a selection and is difficult to dissuade. Also, be aware that my model assembly skills are no better than average (and probably below average). A more skilled assembler could have had a different result.
