Conversion Bolsters 4-Wheel Pass Trucks

Passenger cars can be equipped with truck mounted couplers using the correct conversion bolster attachment. Truck mounted couplers permit closer coupling on radii down to 18" without causing binding for most passenger cars. Non-Magnetic trucks should be used with Kadee Magne-Matic Couplers. Wheels should be changed on AHM and Athearn trucks. Use Kadee #521 or #522 non-magnetic wheels.

"Simple replacement"

The only reason I gave this review four stars is that the instructions actually do not show what really needed to be done with the truck to install the coupler. You need to remove more plastic on the truck frame than the instruction shows. Otherwise, this works fine and almost couples the cars together with diaphragms touching.
