"One of the classic logging railroad HO kits"
Full Steam Ahead
The Barnhart log loader was used in most logging railroad operations from coast to coast. They can be used with log buggie or flat log cars. The log buggie is found in a kit from Keystone or prebuilt from IHC. Almost any flat car can be turned into a suitable log car and you just need to add rails of each side for the Barnhart to sit on. This kit is non-operating and static. High detail with crisp castings and easy to follow instructions. The price may seem high but it is worth it. These loaders can also be used for stationary work on your railroad as a loading crane. The possibilities are almost endless. Highly recommended kit.
