The larger scale of this kit, often 1/16, is appreciated for its bigger parts, which are easier to handle for those with vision challenges and provide a refreshing change from smaller scales, though it requires more materials like glue and paint. Reviewers note the kit's detailed and well-engraved parts, with minimal flash and good fit, alongside features like opening doors and hood, though some wish for additional functionalities like an opening tailgate. While the instructions can be unclear and minor issues like mold lines or slight warping exist, the kit is generally seen as fun, customizable, and suitable for both beginners and experienced builders.
I had fun with the larger size kit, was a good change from 1/25 and 1/32 kits. Since the parts are bigger, any glue smears show up even bigger. As in all large kits these use more cement, paint etc. My Grandpa builds the bigger ones since his eyesight is not as good as it used to be. I would recommend this kit to anyone who wants a break from building smaller ones. Everything fit perfect and all the numbers matched from the plans and the parts tree. Well done.
I received this HUGE 1/16th scale model kit from hobbylinc and couldn't wait to open it. The parts are large and well engraved. The body itself had minor mold lines but is warp free and SOLID I can't wait to put this one together. I highly recommend getting yourself one of these kits.
