Piranha Spy Car

This model was bitter sweet for me. A couple of months ago I was building this kit. I just primered the last of the body parts and went to the store. I was going to paint the parts when I got home but I never got the chance. While I was out my house caught on fire and was burned to the ground. I have moved to a new house, and I desided to slowly get back to my hobby. One thing I wanted to do was to buy the hobby products I was working on and finish them. As for this kit, it is not for beginners. First off, most of the parts show their age and have a lot of flash to clean off. The engine has a lot of chrome parts for the twin turbos, and are vey delicate. The roof assembly is tricky to get lined up properly. I use tacky glue to attach clear parts, so I took me a couple of days to get it assembled. I did screw up and wish I would have chosen a lighter color of blue for this model. This model did remind me of the past as I remember it on the old TV series The Man From U.N.C.L.E. People today would find it hard to believe that one of the stars of that show was the actor who now plays Dr. Mallard on NCIS. But if you take your time this is a fun kit to build.
