"A Solid Star Trek Kit"

By my count, this is the fourth release of this model kit, if you include the two released of the Excelsior-class USS Enterprise-B. Trek modelers may ask what is different about this release, and the answer is there are extra pieces to build either the Star Trek III or Star Trek VI versions of the ship. The differences are small but the option is nice. On the minus side, I've noticed that this version is actually LESS detailed that the 1995 AMT release. There were grid lines around the bridge module that have been removed, for example. I suspect this is to encourage you to buy the compliment decal set.

I love the quality of this kitt. Just remember that the Excelsior Class is lot's bigger Then the original Enterprise. Altough the kot is scala 1:1000 it Looks lot bigger Then the earlyer same scale Star Trek kits.
