Melts the decal film so that when it has dried and given a flat coat no film is visible and the decal looks like it was painted on.

This definitely helps to soften the decals so they stick to contours better. So far it hasn’t had an adverse reaction to the acrylics I’ve been using.

Although I've heard that Solvaset will destroy delicate decals, I've never had an issue with it. Especially when there's detail that the decals have to flow over/on, Solvaset is my go too solution.
