This was a nice surprise, for the detail and the superior molding techniques of the smallest parts; there are quite a few of them, with both good engine detail and excellent cockpit interior detail. I was also surprised at how relatively small this aircraft is. The kit went together very smoothly, though this might be a bit tough for young hands. I just wisht hat Revell would give the necessary wire for bracing; it was a fun kit, though.

there are already plenty of rave reviews of this kit, but it really is sooooo great it deserves another. amazing frame, cockpit, engine surface detail. i suggest leaving the cockpit cowling removeable to view that great frame and control details.(see my pictures.) i also attempted to leave the front cowling just behind the engine removeable, but something seems to be holding it in place. there is nice equipment detail under there that would look good in a partially dissassembled state, perhaps in a diarama. get out the tweezers and precision glue applicators,and have some real fun with this one, it's a gem, really! absolutely recomend it to modellers with some experience.

WHAT CAN I SAY, THIS IS A STEARMAN. I DO NOT MAKE MANY BI-PLANES ANY MORE BECAUSE I AM 80 AND MY NERVES ARE NOT THE BEST BUT I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THIS ONE. IT IS WELL DESIGNED. IF YOU LIKE THE N2S /PT-17 YOU WILL LIKE THIS KIT.

I am really impressed with the quality of this kit. The fit and detail is excellent. I have really had a great time building this kit. It features a full tubular frame which is only partly visible when built. The motor is very detailed and accurate given the scale.
