IJN Junyo Aircraft Carrier Waterline

I think Tamiya does a really good job with the 1/700 scale ships. The Junyo is no exception. It had good detail, good molding, very little trimming was needed, and there are cool upgrade kits available. I used Tom’s IJN Carrier set A which can be found at this link: https://www.hobbylinc.com/toms-wwii-ijn-carrier-detail-set-plastic-model-ship-accessory-1:700-scale-702. The model represents the 1944 version which has a really neat camouflage scheme, and the ship is bursting with AA guns. All in all it was a great kit. It’s easy to make it look detailed, it goes together well, and it looks great when you’re done.
