ACF 50'6'' Sliding-Door Boxcar McCloud River RR Co

Out of the box this car was 102g, way, way short of the 126g minimum a 50 foot car should weigh by NMRA standards. So I changed out the wheels for Intermountain 33 inch solid brass so it rolled better, changed out the couplers in favor of Kadee whisker type, metal knuckle spring with semi-scale head and added additional weight to get it up to 125g. Once that is done the car is complete. The doors are operational and the paint and printing is good but the shade of brown is a little too light, and there is conflicting data on the side. With the reporting marks it says the car was new June, 1977. But the black data card on the side says it was built in 1959 and COTS is shown at the same date. Wrong on both counts. Not a huge deal for most but the more reviews I write the pickier I get for accuracy. Once the corrections are made this is a good car, otherwise it is no more than average Bachmann fare.
