"A little imagination can do so much."

First of all I'd like to thank Hobbylinc for the incredible ,exciting products that are available for modelers. The creative stimulus is only as limited as your imagination. Now, I painted the building before I placed it on the base. I used Revels, Stone grey for the front and Valejos stone grey for the reverse side. For the base ,I used Sculptamold and airbrushed the base floor the same color as the reverse wall. I made the perimeter walls from blueboard insulation etching the blocks and brick. The building and walls were fastened to the Sculptamold base, which by the way is formed on a piece of paneling, with epoxy-resin. I made the ladders and used AKs Dark Brown Wash. The Soldiers are from 2 Tamiya German Infantry Kits. I used Model Master German Uniform Grey for the trousers, and Model Master Panzer Green for the upper Uniform. Then an Abteilung oil wash of Field grey. The helmets were dusted with AKs European Earth and scraping from a couple old sticks of pastels. Then sealed with AKs Pigment Fixer. I gave the entire Diorama a wash with a combination of Abteilungs Smoke and Field Grey and saturated the building paying extra attention to the corners ofcthe windows and raised areas. I forgot to mention chat the platforms were hand made as well. I used AKs wood wash for that. Now, the gravel base i shoveled from the street that the sander during the Winter threw. All in all, this was my first attempt at a large Diorama. It was so much fun! My head was buzzing with ideas. The medium is limitless . There isn't a strict format that you should or must follow. You can make it as you envision it within your mind. I, like to be as Historically accurate as possible. I'm looking forward to building more... if they're ever in stock long enough for me to purchase one again. To all the modelers out there... HAPPY MODELING!!!
