The H-43 was a classic 50s to 60s helicopter. It was invaluable in rescue and recon missions. It was called the Eggbeater because until it hit RPM, it was described as being beaten like scrambled eggs. It was ahead of its time in counter rotating rotary wing machines. I hate to report how bad this little model was produced. I had said the last time I built an AMP model that Fool me once, shame on you but now the second part of that saying Fool me twice, shame on me really comes into play. The Ukrainians produced a horribly casted, horrible fitting model of this wonderful helicopter. Yes, it was on me for buying it, but I am a helicopter junkie and just thought maybe if would be better than the last one I built from AMP. Unless you can figure out the lousy directions and the horrible sequencing of order, dont bother trying to make something to be proud of. It took me more time dry fitting, sanding, drilling, scraping, and puttying than should have ever been. When the best part of the model is the decals, that should tell you something. I will stick to helo models from the other parts of the world besides Eastern Europe. I DO NOT recommend this model to anyone EXCEPT very patient, skilled builders. It was frustrating and extremely time consuming. This time after Fool me Twice.... I just say NEVER AGAIN from AMP. Period. Dont waste your money. See my photos for something less than perfect. Poor little H-43 EggBeater.
