"Works just OK"

It works but could be better. Can't get into tight spots due to diameter of wheels. Not very sharp and I usually have to push hard to mark the surface then use a needle or pin to make a better rivet. Inexpensive so I guess the performance is good for the price. Despite it's shortcomings I still use it and it'x a vital tool in the toolbox.

"Make rivets with easy"

I bought 2 of these, as I did not know how they would work or last under rigorous use. I have to say that using any tool like this takes some time getting used to. Once I figured out how to draw a straight line, making rivets was easy. If you have not used something like this before, you will have to spend a little time practicing with the tool and some old plastic to get the hang of it. There are also many videos online to help. The tool comes with four interchangeable wheels for different scales you may work with. The price makes it a good value. The results were very good. The model club wanted to know what I used to make this effect, so I donated the second tool to the club for anyone to use, but keeping mine all to myself. -hjp

A great luxury item. Riveting tools can be very useful in creating realistic rivets on plastic models. The majority of serious modelers have one of these tools in their possession.

"Apparently not for beginners ..."

I was not happy with this tool at all. The wheel is large so you can only get so close to the corner joins ... after that you're on your own. Which, considering this tool, may not necessarily be a bad thing. The biggest problem I have with it is that the forks on either side of the wheel hide your view of the surface making it difficult to line up and keep on a line. It also creates problems when trying to rivet areas with limited access because the tool is so wide, due to the forks. I am new to the hobby so maybe I simply lack experience, but these seem like pretty basic problems that could be easily resolved. I am gonna replace mine with something else. Also, as an aside, I was disappointed that a case or cup or some way of keeping the additional blades together was not provided. Not a HUGE deal ... but again, little usability issues that could be easily remedied.
