"Tool for Top Scale Moderlers"
Sauceman (Asheville, NC)
Modelers: This is a necessary tool for scale modelers who are looking to add tiny details to a scale model. This roller tool adds rivet marks to any plastic scale model, adding detail and professionalism. Good review on YouTube on how to best utilize this tool.

"useful tool"

I have no idea why I waited so long to purchase this tool. I can't see myself without anymore and would have to find another way of replacing erased or filled rivet points. GOOD toll to have with you.

"Apparently not for beginners ..."

I was not happy with this tool at all. The wheel is large so you can only get so close to the corner joins ... after that you're on your own. Which, considering this tool, may not necessarily be a bad thing. The biggest problem I have with it is that the forks on either side of the wheel hide your view of the surface making it difficult to line up and keep on a line. It also creates problems when trying to rivet areas with limited access because the tool is so wide, due to the forks. I am new to the hobby so maybe I simply lack experience, but these seem like pretty basic problems that could be easily resolved. I am gonna replace mine with something else. Also, as an aside, I was disappointed that a case or cup or some way of keeping the additional blades together was not provided. Not a HUGE deal ... but again, little usability issues that could be easily remedied.

"Works just OK"

It works but could be better. Can't get into tight spots due to diameter of wheels. Not very sharp and I usually have to push hard to mark the surface then use a needle or pin to make a better rivet. Inexpensive so I guess the performance is good for the price. Despite it's shortcomings I still use it and it'x a vital tool in the toolbox.
