This kit has a lot of chrome for the body. Great engine options. Fun car to build.

I’ve always loved the styling of the second gen Nova and enjoyed building this kit. I built the millennium edition (AMT #30269) which I’d been holding onto for 20+ years! This version contains a separate accessory engine long block and engine stand (very nice bonus) which I’m not sure is included in AMT #1198. That aside, the kits appear to be identical. I appreciate the parts count, non-promo chassis, and good engraving throughout. A set of slicks should be included to build a 70’s era drag subject, and it would be nice if some of these older subjects included modern transmission options, such as TKO or overdrive automatics. The kit builds up easily; my only issue was with the fitment of the grill/bumper assembly, which required some minor filing to achieve a good fit. I did not use any of the chrome body trim on my build so cannot comment on these pieces.
