Many AMT kits that I have built have not been worth talking about, but this one is different! It seems as if the mold was either unused for a very long time, or Round 2 put some real effort forth to get it into marketable shape. However, it's still a former promo kit, which means that no matter how much customizing you can do to it, it still demonstrates techniques that were used for producing kits 30 years ago. Well, they decided to dispense with the screws that held promos together, but now you have to use super glue! And it still looks like a promo, so, what did they really gain? A few pennies on 4 screws? One more disappointing factor was the absence of badges from the decal sheet. As you can see in my photos, there are very nicely molded badges in the rear, that could have really used some help, to make them stand out. By the way, the only customizing option I decided to use was the fancy hood scoop. However, I was very pleased that the windows were a 1-piece unit, and it fit extremely well, with a small hole where the mirror goes. No, it's not a pinhole to match a pin on the casting of the mirror; it's just a hole that gives you plenty of room to glue it onto the roof. And while the interior is still kind of plain, everything fits really well into the shell.
