The kit represents a Navy Anti-submarine warfare aircraft of fame during its many years of service. The aircraft was launched from U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and had many hours logged in tracking submarines. This is a re-box of the Aurora Model Company that had a long history of producing many types of models in various scales as models were designed to fit in specific sized boxes and I might add very good box art. In the case of the kit, the art work is astounding as it shows a Tracker being launched off an aircraft carrier. The model does in-fact show the age of the molding, right down to the indented areas where to place the included decals! The fit of the parts is very good for the age of the plastic and molds and has a small amount of flash or small areas of plastic outside the main parts. I assembled the model recently and first painted all the parts in a overall Navy Blue with a spray can which took numerous coats to get the desired results as the kit color is White! Then I installed the clear parts according to the instructions which when the two fuselage halves are separate, you might want to install all of the clears parts that make up the cockpit windows, otherwise you might lose them after the fuselage is glued together. When all the parts are attached I placed all the decals in the noted areas with no issues and displayed my model from the wall, as I did not use the kit issued stand. I would recommend an experienced modeler to assist a novice with this kit as the exploded diagram can be a confusing method. Considering all issues, this is fun and educational kit that fills the gaps in aviation history. One final note: there is no landing gear in the kit as I suspect Aurora left that to their designers back in the day.
