I've built the older Revell F/A-18's in the past so I had to see what this brand had to offer and Im very impressed with it .Comes with U.S. Marine decals It's something different besides U.S. Navy for a change but overall model it's A+ no flaws . I wouldn't say better than Revell but when it comes to fitting parts together HobbyBoss wins . And it comes with well illustrated easy to follow instructions so take your time. I say if anyone is into military fighter jets this model kit is for you .

"Nice F/A-18 Kit"

I have built a few F/A-18 kits. I bought this kit to make as a US Navy Blue Angel. Compared to other F/A-18 kits, This is one of the better kits. The fit was very good. The details are good but there are a couple of drawbacks. The drawbacks are the kit does not include the clear parts for the lights on the tail or sides. There is a spot for them but the clear parts are not on the clear tree. The HUD unit has very thick plastic and looks comically large. The good news is the HUD frame is separate from the clear part so you can use thin clear film to make your two level HUD and make it look more like the real one. Assembly instructions are well organized. I cannot comment on the decals because I used Cam-Pro aftermarket decal set for the Blue Angels. Overall the kit is very nice. I would recommend this kit.
