I first saw the Retriever Rocket on a Wonderful World of Disney TV broadcast back in the early 60s. Of course, I loved it. This model, that first released in the way back, is an excellent example of a Von Braun concept vehicle. The model is easy to build and provides additional opportunities to the kit-basher. I added a cockpit to the interior and modified the Bottle Suit to include gripping arms. The kit decals are great and authentic for the period released. However, I got a bit creative and raided my extra decal stash. I highly recommend this model with those with an interest in the retro, space program.

This is a great kit with many parts. Can be painted many ways. I like the service pod that comes with it which you can detach. Old nostalgic kit. You can light it wit LEDs very easy. Even better when you get a great price on it.
