Exceptional detail for a model which has not been released since 1958. Molding is crisp with no flash noted. Upgraded decals include RAF markings and four absolutely beautiful old style Douglas Aircraft logos. The launch pad is very well done and lends itself to super detailing although this is not needed to build a great model. The list price is a little high but when you consider the price of an original Adams kit, if you can find one, plus the fact that this reissue has new decals, makes this a bargain. I've been building for over fifty years and it's nice to see the old kits reissued! Well done Glencoe!

Finished building this kit and found it to be very disappointing. First, it had a missing part No. 42. Next, contained a part not listed in the instructions. Had a lot of flashing on some parts. Lacked detail on the missile. The only good item from this kit was the detail of the launch platform. Wished I would have read more detail about this kit before ordering it!

FINALLY ! After years of thinking the THOR and Vanguard were gone for ever, Glencoe Models found them. This kit is fantastic. It is one of favorite models and now affordable. Outside some flash on the launch pad sprues around where the plastic comes in, it is crisp and clean. It creates a dramatic build up with the launch pad and rocket. And the figures !!! OMG, these are some of the nicest figures ever made - and my kit had two extra figures on top of it! A must if you if you are a rocket historian kit builder.
