B-24D Liberator

I received my model back in July of this year and as a result of having store bonus points built up from kit reviews I didn't have to pay for any of the costs, what a great store! Upon opening the box I noted the extensive detailing already built into the many parts. The re-box of the model survived and is even better than expected. The crispness of the parts is amazing and the small details stand out quite well. Although I have to start to build and paint the model I can see the possible aircraft resulting as the B-24 was used in every part of WW2 and was featured in a recent movie about the survival of the bombardier. The movie was my main motivation to hopefully re-create a model of the same version although I cannot locate the exact tail numbers. Historically the B-24 was superior to the B-17 for many reasons and was the most produced. I respect both equally and encourage modelers young and old to re-create history through this model.
