Something inside me rebels at the thought of paying $45 for a car. I find the Accurail kits to be a good balance between price and detail level, especially when on sale. To assemble the kit you merely attach the trucks and the brake details to the underframe, the couplers to the shell and then snap the two together. A weight bar goes inside the shell. I can't remember if the doors came separately on this kit, as I assembled a bunch at around the same time. There is no flash anywhere, the details are all crisp and I like this particular shade of boxcar red as it isn't too bright. You can run it as-is if you want, but I weathered mine a bit. The trucks and couplers attach with the same size screws, which is nice.
