For starters, this is a soft metal casting kit made up of 7 pieces (four sides, the base/slab, roof and the vent.) It is not a solid/one piece unit. Minimal metal flashing had to be filed down from the parts. When test fitting the house sides inside the base, one corner did not fit correctly into the base. I had to carve out/file some of the metal in a corner of the base to allow the house to fit inside the slab. Once this was done, it was fairly easy to put together. Details are fairly well done and easy to see. I painted the bottom/slab a concrete color and the housing aluminum color.

This kit is very difficult to assemble. It requires much cleaning to make the parts fit together well.

I had no problem assembling this kit. It was well molded with little flash. What flash or uneven edges there were trimmed up easily with an x-acto knife and a fine file. I used thick super glue for the assembly. I didn't paint it just enhanced some of the lines with a grey wash to make it look weathered sitting outside. For the price of the kit it's an OK addition to my layout.
