The switch stand is a kit molded in black. The pieces are flash free but require a bit of trimming when taken off the sprue. The instructions are clear. Follow them carefully! While the parts fit together via friction, I glued mine anyway. It may be mounted on either side of the switch but whatever you do it will require some effort to make it fit so that it works. The stand must be precisely level with the switch. Test fit everything several times before gluing or otherwise fixing in place. Note that this is only an indicator - some other method of throwing the switch is required. It works well with automatic switches and switches with internal cams that hold the points in place, like Peco. I wouldn't put them somewhere where you might bump into them.
