The War Elephant set is very nice. You get 6 Pachyderms total and 3 Figures per. 2 of the Riders differ in that one is in the attacking pose and one is not. Would've like to seen at least one of the riders with say a Bow and Arrow. Figures will require a little more prep than what I've seen with other HAT sets. The set is in the Yellowish Tan color. Size of elephants in relation to figures could be offset a little better. Guess they're just younger elephants. Overall, I'd give it an 8, just not quite high enough for an excellent rating, but in the upper 8 range.

This is an excellent War Elephant kit in 1/72. Inside are six elephants with three crew per beast, suitable to be used in a Carthaginian army. The elephants have two different poses both suitable for wargaming and everything included is considered historically accurate.

This is an excellent, durable model of Carthaginian War Elephants. You get 6 elephants (3 of each of 2 poses), 6 drivers, and 12 men (6 spearman and 6 standard bearers) for the towers on elephants' backs. My son uses this set as a toy with his other 1/72 soldiers. It blew his mind to think about elephants used as weapons in war. The driver sticks onto the tower with a peg that comes out of the tower - I almost cut that peg off before I realized. Also, the tower for one elephant was missing a peg used to attach it to the elephant's back. I used a bit of glue and it seems fine. The sculpting is excellent.
