You receive a dozen, fairly, clean figures. They will require a little prep prior to painting. Mold lines are very evident, which I try and remove before painting. The figures are Grey in color. Each require a Shield, which are separate from each figure. Be careful, all but Three figures have their weapons attached. The weapons for the other Three could be overlooked, if not careful. They appear to be what was called a Roman Short Spear. The Shields are plain, leaving a smooth surface for decorating per the period. They are not decorated as shown on rear of package. They're a nice set and will definitely be a nice addition to my Roman Legions. They only receive a Good rating due to the need to clean up a bit and their lacking some detail and crispness seen with other manufactures.
