Miniatronics provides a real value with these LEDs. Yes, you might be able to find small LEDs from other sources online, but most of those are 'surface mount' and lack the long leads that hobbyists like myself need to solder wires onto. Not only does this set provide 3 different colors of LEDs, but also the resistors you need to get them to work with your set's power pack. This is genius to include these as it avoids those of us who may not be very 'electronically-savvy' from having to figure out what resistor to use. Very nice product.
