I 'saw' it and had to have it.
This thing is great. Different blades with different tooth counts for every application. Just remove the blades not being used and tighten down the remaining one. It's the only way to get small parts from sprues without damage. Even a xacto knife can break tiny parts. This thing never fails. Never break another part removing it.
A Saw That Needs A Home in Every Modeler's Toolbox
Had a need to shorten some Kato track and considered a number of options including buying Kato's Short Track Assortment but thought a saw would be a better use of capital because a saw set can have multiple applications. Initially, the packaging appeared to be previously opened and the large blade used however Kudos to Hobbylinc for hassle-free replacement. The mark of a great retailer.
After receiving the replacement, and only using the large blade, it trimmed the Kato track like butter, including the rails though it is safer for the track piece to cut the rails with a diagonal cutters. Also used the large blade to trim and miter some 1/8 basswood for structure base. It satisfactorily performed that task too. Have not used other blades but hoping to do so soon so haven't tested the simplicity or difficulty of swapping them.
Zona provides sufficient info but had contacted them with a couple of questions, including proper storage, prior to purchase, and they responded in a timely manner.
Based on the few times used to date... I only wish I bought the saw set sooner.
