Spotlight Review

"Another good deck color"
As stated in my review for Wooden Deck Tan, i have had trouble finding the perfect colors for decks of WWII Battleships/Carriers, and Tamiya has the perfect colors. This shade is more for a German ship with some deck wash. If your model calls out Deck Tan specifically, i suggest Tamiya's over Model Master for sure.

"Great acrylic paint"

Paint to Thinner range 2:1 to 1:1 for airbrushing depending on air pressure, paint volume and distance from subject. Experiment on scrap plastic first.

"Actually it is gray"
The color of this is not tan at all. It is gray with maybe the teeniest bit of tan in there. I suppose it could be good for weathered wooden decks, but it doesn't look wood to me. The Tamiya XF series paints are all great in quality. They dry very fast, though, so you might need thinner or the retarder for brushing larger areas.

Thin using Tamiya Thinner: 23ml (tam81020), 46ml (tam81030), 250ml (tam81040)
