F2-A Dual Drive Powered w/Light Southern Railway

opened the box and placed the F2-A Southern 6133 diesel on the layout by itself and ran it around the track forward/reverse to warm up the motor. after warming up the motor for awhile added some passenger cars (4) for the diesel to pull. after adding the four passenger cars, the diesel tried hard to pull but did not move that fast as the wheels spun on the tracks from the weight of the four passenger cars as they went around the track. removed two of the passenger cars and tested to see if the diesel could pull 2 passenger cars without the wheels spinning on the tracks. the diesel handled two passenger cars without issue. maybe if the diesel had a little more weight to its body the wheels would not have slipped when pulling cars that weigh more. no worries though as i will only pull two passenger cars at a time with this diesel and still enjoy it. next test was ten freight cars, pulling ten freight cars was not problem for the Model Power brand F2-A Southern 6133 diesel. the diesel moved around the track with ease, then turned the speed up on the controller and watched as the train screamed around the layout. this is one fast diesel The light on front of the cab illuminated brightly as the train went around the track, i was very pleased by the lights function. very pleased with this Model Power brand F2-A Southern 6133 diesel

I have heard from some MODEL POWER customers that model power locomotive run smoothly and reach high speeds, not to mention they are super cheap.
