"good and bad"

this is a good kit but with some definite negatives. I have built several of these Hasagawa kits and have had trouble with the air intakes on ALL of them. very noticeable on this one too. both sides will need filling and sanding. also had trouble with the Sidewinder launching rails. there is a big notch on the pylon and a big tab on the rails. I assumed that the tab went into the notch, it was when I mounted the pylon to the wing that I noticed that it left no space between the wing and rail to mount the missiles, so I separated the parts and cut the tab off the rails and put the tab into the notch to fill the space and then mounted the now two rails further down and on the sides of the pylon. for what its worth, I learned a good lesion on Testors paints. the spray cans and the bottled paints don' always match even though they have the same FS #. over all this is a good model especially for the price.

"best but could be better"

This plane in very good with little wrong the cockpit has much detale and in added by the decals that go with the cockpit but no pilot. The inst sheet is good as is the color sheet the parts fit well a little sanding but not much. The cockpit glass can be open or closed same with the landing gear. the decals are good and come for u.s. or three japanese planes. And a good amount of miss and tanks for the hard points. A good plane for all.
