"Lovely painting"

This was my first detailed painting. I was a little worried about mixing the colors but sometimes the colors would be a little different from the picture on the box but it turned out beautiful. I enjoyed working on it, sometimes for many hours a day. I would recommend this painting to anybody.

"Wonderful painting"

This was my first paint by number painting. I had a wonder, relaxing time from start to finish. Very easy to follow the instructions. I was a little worried about mixing the paints, but after the first mix it was a breeze! No problems at all. I would HIGHLY recommend this painting :) two thumbs up!

i love this painting. just be aware if you buy it that a lot of the spaces are very, and i mean very, small. beautiful colors, they are hard to mix correctly but you dont ahve to make it look identical to the box. enjoy

"Adding more details tips"

This was my 4th one done by Dimensions PaintWorks some tips I learned doing these for you to get the same or close to the same results I got that you will be proud to display it. ( Copy the numbers or letters (sometimes) in (parentheses) next to the number in the key chart (paper) before you start as they will rub off after handling and you will not be able to read them later ) The painting is large in size 20 x 16 to be totally exact. The brush is of good quality but soon after awhile you will need to replace it like all brushes. I used a #3 for most of the areas as they where large enough. And I would get a #0 and possibly a #01 and/or #02 and #1 for fine details. A tip I will share as the instuctions tell you to work your way from the top to the bottom. I would take it another way and paint your primary colors first. ( White always the very last color even after the mixed colors, realize that it will cover but will need several coats )So paint your second color all the way through till your done with the primary colors, doing one at a time and giving time to dry in between. Then start mixing colors ( be sure to leave a little primary color for touch-ups as needed when you finish with all the colors. ) I have noticed that certain colors will need two and possibly three coats of paint to cover fully. So, be prepared to do this as need. Never mix dark paint brush with light, use different brushes for light and dark, as the dark will stain the brush and the light colors will show signs of dark in the paint. So what do you do if you mix to much ( better to mix more then not enough (as you will never be able to make that shade exact again ) and you run out of color. No worries, just call Demensions and tell them the code in ( ) that you need and the number of the painting your working on, and they will help you get more color. Be sure add the detail as the sheet tells you it adds more depth and makes it more real. Another hint: As you paint you come to the edges and don't know what to do? Follow through to the edge with the colors do not leave and white around the edges makes the painting more professional and when you frame it.. there will be no unpainted areas showing through.

Comments

If you prefer to work with a variety of brushes, a liner brush for fine-line detail and a #4, 6, or 8 flat brush for large, open areas are recommended
