Reviews : Squadron Sprue Nipper

I bought these to replace a pair of Tamiya nippers that came in a 'modeller's kit' with a file, screwdrivers, knife, etc. These do not cut as crisply as those did. They also are larger, making it more difficult to get into tight spaces on sprue to disconnect pieces. That said, they do work and have kept their sharp cutting edge across a couple of models. They seem well made. The thick handle padding is also appreciated. The price was also far less than it would have been to re-order the Tamiya set with the nippers!

Great smooth and flush cutting.. Now these are my first sprue cutters and I went on the cheaper side with worries but got what I expected totally.. durable plastic handles and steel cut tool. Later this year I will invest in the tamiya pair but these are great starting sprue cutters for new studio or workshops

Works very good. Clean & close cuts. The handle is comfortably and a good size for my hands (I have big hands) I use it mainly for cutting the parts off the sprues but also have used it for small wires on projects.

I was tired of my dull hobby knife cutting deep into important parts by mistake, so I bought the most affordable sprue cutters on the market. These are a huge help in scale modeling. Good price too.

I finally got around to getting some sprue cutters because they seemed to be a better alternative to cutting parts with my Xacto. Glad I did.

This cuts close to the sprue. It makes removing parts easy, without the need for a lot of cleanup.

Excellent product, very well made. and cleanly cuts the photo etched pieces without distortion.

Works as intended, a lot easier than using anything else!

Build quality is so so, for that price you can't go wrong
