In my opinion; the best set of Red Army troops in 1/35 scale.
A great set depicting a wide range of action poses that can add a lot of drama to any diorama. Excellent sculpt in each figure that captures subtle facial expressions. No single face looks alike and the variety of uniforms and equipment showcases gear for all seasons and per each individual soldier and their task or job. The only drawback to this set is that you can't do a lot of customizing for the figures since each one specific gear like ruck sacks or rain capes. The instructions are great and are clear in assembly and painting plus the illustrations on the cover name the various items of clothing like the jackets, coats, hats, etc. Plus the brief history text on the front is a nice read to help you begin researching the subject. Though I have to be pedantic and say that Tamiya should stop referring to these sets being the Russian Army but rather the Red Army since at that point Russia was but one part (though the largest) of a multi-ethnic conglomeration, hence why is was called a union. Regardless this is an amazing set plus you can pose them on a tank like the T-34/85. Though I'm not sure if they'll all work on other Soviet WW2 AFVs.
Nice, versatile kit with a wide range of poses. Perfect for putting on a T-34
This kit comes with a wide range of poses and a high number of figures, 12 to be exact. No others come with such a large number of figures. The figures are simple to assemble, which allows for practice in assembling and painting figures on a very reasonably priced kit. Took about 2 days to assemble and paint out the kit. I used a variety of paints from Tamiya and Vallejo. The poses can be used for either placing on a T-34, or similar, tank or used in the assault and defense dioramas. I have a few more of these and I am going to work on trying to change up the poses and see how that goes. Time to get out the torch. Would recommend this kit to all modelers, including and especially for those that are just beginning. These are going into a much larger diorama and I am currently building out the figures/vehicles and storing them until I am ready to put it all together.
Shades of dragon figures

Good fit little mold lines. Nice selection of accessories. Parts fit well. I really liked the notch for the drum mags. However to many parts for the figures, separate heads and a separate hand. I avoid dragon figures because of the extra parts if fatal possible. Very sad to find Tamiya catching the sickness. Without even the excuse of a selection of heads.
Another nice kit from Tamiya
Have gotten a few German riders and was looking for figures from different countries. Got this and glad I did. Went together with no problems, as usual for a Tamiya kit. They don't quite fit on my Russian SU122 so will have to get a different kit, great excuse to buy more models. Would recommend this model kit.
Great kit!

This a very amazing set of figures! If you are doing an infantry hoard, this is the way to go! This kit only applies to the 1943-1945 era of World War 2, so you'll be a little limited on what you can do with it, but still very cool set!
Great value, poses

Few 1/35 figure kits deliver such a large number of soldiers in such engaging poses, so well suited for armored vehicle dioramas. Great kit, nice details on the figures, action-packed poses.
