Acrylic XF3 Flat Yellow 3/4 oz
XF3 Flat yellow is a must have paint. It goes on smooth like all Tamiya paints and leaves a good finish. I like it best because it is also a good match for USAF equipment of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Tugs, bomb loaders, trailers, and tow bars were all painted this color. Also a lot of USAF construction and snow removal equipment were also painted in this color. (Note this changed in the 90s. Tamiya xf58 olive green is the match for the later equipment. I was a heavy equipment mechanic in the USAF.
Great paint
Great paint. I have made the switch from Vallejo to Tamiya due to the coverage and availability. I don't use an airbrush, but with some thinner the paint can be hand brushed just fine. I know with a lot of things it's personal presence but I highly recommend this paint as it gives great coverage.
Best model paint by far
Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.
Good flat yellow after a few coats
Good flat yellow for tips of propellers and such. Needs about 3 coats to be even remotely opaque, but otherwise good. The Tamiya XF series paints are all great. They dry very fast, though, so you might need thinner or the retarder for brushing larger areas.
Great acrylic paint
Paint to Thinner range 2:1 to 1:1 for airbrushing depending on air pressure, paint volume and distance from subject. Experiment on scrap plastic first. For me 2:1 works best on lighter colors
Tamiya acrylic paint
Another excellent Tamiya product PROs: Great for use w/ airbrush. Goes on smoothly, superb coverage and finish. CONs: None I highly recommend this product.
Nice Product
Very nice yellow, color does darken with multiple coats. Thinning is simple for airbrush use, I recommend 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner.
good paint but...
Make sure you experiment with your thinner ratios if you're brush painting. This yellow can be a bit tricky to level out.
Could be called cub yellow
Excellent rich deep yellow color. Easy to airbrush with good coverage when thinned as needed with Tamiya acrylic thinner.
Nice color
This color is one I don't use much by itself but is needed for mixing. Like other Tamiya paints is mixes well.
XF3 flat yellow
Wow, what a bright yellow. Very nice paint, needs a little thinning, but goes on easy and covers well
Nice Paint
I've used this paint before and it is a very nice paint which flows well and covers very well.
Yellow
Mellow yellow. Good application and coverage. Goes on smooth and silky. Good yellow color.
Tamiya paint is always good
Always get a great finish with Tamiya paint. Can’t go wrong with Tamiya…
Covers well and applies easily. I like the water wash-up over the enamals.
