A nice, big kit.
This is a simple kit (like most submarines are), but it fits together really nicely. In order to help assemble the hull, you first build a giant tube that fits inside the hull and provides a great deal of support and alignment to get the hull halves together quickly and easily. There was no flashing on the molded parts and everything fit together really well. The only decals in the kit are the numbers on the sail and flags if you care to display them. Those 2 number decals are pretty flimsy, so be careful with them - they also wanted micro-sol used on them to adhere well. I chose to do a bit of rigging for the side railings (which the 1:144 scale makes easy to do) and finished it in Measure 32/9SS-B camouflage as it wore in 1945 at the end of WW II.
