Easy model to build

By: richardachilli

This is my first 1/350 scale battleship model that is reasonably priced. It's a nice kit for the money. It's not very detailed or complex so a beginner should be comfortable building it.The propellers are extremely out of scale(small)so I'll have to get aftermarket ones.If you have any skill at all,you can make a nice model out of this kit.

Lindberg's version of Tirpitz is very basic.

The detail was sketchy or skimpy 50 years ago when I built the ship. Unless they have re-tooled the molds for much more added detail then it remains a great bargain buy for beginning modelers. Back then I only wanted to get it finished and launched into the Atlantic Ocean. That would be my front yard. where the war games took place.

fun kit to build.

By: marlimann

This was a lot of fun to build because it is big!!! The guns are big, the parts are all of a nice size so that they are easily handled and you do not end up seeing any excess glue. When complete there will be excess parts so do not worry about those, they are provide in case the kit was to be motorized. I enjoyed building it and looking at it. Also, you do not have to be a seasoned model build to complete it. Instructions are very clear and easy to follow.
