Love these little guys. They are superbly sculpted and manufactured, and come with a nice paintjob too.
Apparently, in Western Europe, during the height of the Cold War, most of these were fielded by the Warsaw Pact, and not the Soviets (who kept there T72s further east.
Still, they are a great choice, if you want to do a bit of modern wargaming in Northwestern Europe, since for some time they were the best tanks available to the Soviet's allies. With a 125mm gun, and decent armor, these presented a formidable challenge to the main battle tanks of the NATO allies. After the end of the Cold War, it was determined that some of the better models of the T72 could not be penetrated from the front, by 105mm shells used by NATOs armies, which would have been a rather rude shock for the West.
I'd love to see Pegasus produce some other Soviet vehicles to go with these, like the BMP-1, BMP-2, BTR-60PB, BRDM-2, etc. I suspect they would sell very well, too.
