Spotlight Review

"Great tool"
Great saw for working on models, especially when you can't lay the part to be cut down flat on the workbench.

"Tamiya Handy Craft saw II"
This extremely sharp saw with extremely thin 15mm and a 5mm tall blade is designed to cut plastic and hobby woods, but not metal or carbon parts. Unlike American saw blades, which have the teeth set to cut on “the push stroke”, this follows the arguably better Japanese “pull stroke” teeth set, like the wonderful single edge Kataba style. I guarantee that you will wish you had it when you try to unwrap it! Be careful not to cut or damage the clear blade guard as you extract it. It has a twist to tighten design familiar to hobby knife users, and a small protrusion on the aft end to make twisting easier as well as stopping roll aways. This is not a handle for no.11 blades or medical scalpels, it is a precision saw for precise cuts. Keep this dry and oiled, like it’s fine bigger kin. Unique capabilities, Tamiya quality, I love it!

"Great Saw"
Ryan C. (West Jordan, UT)
This is a great tool. Blades are sharp and thin to get in those tight spaces. Comes with two different blades.

"Worth the money"
Typical Tamiya quality, top to bottom. Only a little thicker than PE blades, but so much more reliable. None of the tendency to warp and flex while cutting.
