F-100F Super Sabre

This is a nicely detailed kit from Trumpeter, and to my knowledge the only kit of the 2 seat F model in 1/48 on the market. Trumpeter's kits seem to get better with each new release. Though they sometimes suffer from shape or scale inaccuries they still build into nice looking models. This kit has an awesome decal sheet offering markings for super sabers done in natural metal finishes, SEA camo and even the Thunderbirds. Overall fit is fairly good. I especially like the option to have the choice to postion the slatsextended. Cockpit detail is a little spase, with the instruments being offered as decals. Overall not a bad kit, Especially if you want to model an F model. I would recommend this kit.

Best F-100F available in 1/48

Overall the kit goes together well and has seems down the middle of the intake which needs a little sealing. The ejection seats are not too good and fit ok. They do not portray the best in seats. The fit of the pieces is also good and the final product is a fine addition to any Century Series collection. One of the better Trumpeter kits.
