Xtreme Metal Polished Aluminum Metallic

AK’s Xtreme Metal paints are airbrush ready out of the bottle - No thinning required. The product delivers a much better metallic shine to your kits than the typical acrylic metal paints, and is supposed to be more durable than Alcad paints. To get the best shine out of this color, you need to prime the kit and lay down the shiny black base coat first. The paint is self leveling and more forgiving to flooding. It’s best applied in thin coats and takes about two days to completely dry - even in hot and dry climates.

I tried Xtreme Metal paints to create a natural metal finish on an aircraft model. It is thinned so it can be sprayed directly from the bottle. Spray on in thin coats. I let it dry overnight and them masked with Tamiya tape and sprayed another color over it. The results were great! The masking tape did not lift up any of the previous metallic color! Creates a very realistic metal finish if multiple shades are used: polished aluminum, aluminum, and dark aluminum.
