"Not so great"
sikork (San Antonio, TX)
I was disappointed after getting this item. I would have expected better quality from ATLAS. All three spurs holding the fence had a small section missing from the post making that final section unusable. It appears that the mold had not been cleaned properly and had material blocking that area.

"Looks great, but doesn't join well"
wtcasper (Westminster, CO)
This kit comes with six 2 5/8 long pieces of fence making a total of more than 200 scale feet in N Scale. It has no gates. There is no way to join the ends of the fences other than gluing them next to each other. The round stands intended for the fence posts aren't really useful and look awful--so why a 4 star rating? It's a lot of fence for a low price. The fence is faced on both sides. If you take a lot of care placing them, they can look very nice. TIP: run a line of glue where you want the fence. Place the fence along the line of glue and use pins to hold it upright and around radii. This fence looks very good on my layout.

"Atlas - fence"

I like the look of this fence, ATLAS needs a little work on QC of the product, seems to be a lot of excess slag from the molding process. PRO - its what I like when installed, with a little trimming it is ready to go out of the box. CON - a lot of leftover molding material, takes a little trimming, difficult to glue together to make long runs of fence.

"Beautiful Hairpin Style Fence Adds Great Detail!"

Atlas created a very nice fence that is sure to fit into any layout looking to achieve a pre-21st century look. The fence will be used for enclosing sections of a passenger station dock as well as the surrounding secondary areas owned and controlled by the railroad There are some negatives to consider. The fence end posts have no indentations or insertion holes for putting sections together. Upon opening the package, noticed what appears to be round ground post holders. There is no info included in how these should be used; Temporary? Or for posts? Optional? Questionable stability with N scale to add to the layout without adhesive. Product information on the Atlas site is less than what's printed on the box. It would have been helpful if they supplied the recommended and/or optional method(s) for attachment of sections. For the price, definitely sufficient quantity and both fence sides are detailed.
