This is an extremely minutely detailed kit with excellent features such as the windows are molded in two colors, clear and white. There are tiny wrenches, tire irons, and jacks. There is a car lift, welding tanks kit, and tool carts. Gas pump detail is very satisfying. There is card stock for interior walls and floors. There are more tool boxes and fire extinguishers than you can use for this kit, so I added them to other pieces in my combination Aurora Thunderjet slot track and HO train layout. As the descriptions says, there are two buildings that can joined together, or one can be used for other applications. The box picture reflects the two buildings back to back. I opted to build them side by side because despite the great detail, the layout plan leaves something to be desired. The large doors are double swing doors, not overhead garage doors and are located in the back wall. Due to the narrow depth, the car lift will not fit front to back (not to mention a car), only side to side and the sides are windows or walk-in doors. So I cut a plain window wall and added an overhead garage door to the shop side. This allowed for realistic use of the car lift. Another oversight is there are no rest rooms! No self- respecting gas station in the 50's and 60's would miss the opportunity to provide the key to a traveling motorist to use the seldom cleaned bathroom? So I also added bathrooms to the back using left over stock from other kits. I added two service people and a car on the lift and a car at the pumps.
