Received this model as a holiday gift and was very pleasantly surprise with the overall detail of this kit. The added detail around the interior was very good. Spent the time painting the interior so it was easier to view through the windows. Primed the main parts of the kit with gray flat spray paint and then painted the remaining parts with various colors of Model Master paints. Had some problems with lining up the walls but was able to get the proper fit. Would recommend this product to others.

"A Great Mini-Mart."

I researched the original kit to be an old Lifelike 7-Eleven from back in the day, interestingly I couldn't find any logos to go with that old market as I suspect the kit to replicate that particular popular chain is not featured. As far as the kit is concerned the food display racks leave a great deal to be desired and as I figured best left out of the building . I went with the outside of the store and concentrated on several scenes in and around the front end. As far as the actual construction of the kit, the plastic is thin and nearly transparent, the instructions show a different approach to construction so I took my own course to build the kit. Pay attention to the clear front of the store as the doors and windows give a more open look and are better than the other piece that is too much for the model. Another discouraging feature is the molded part colors, yellow for instance cannot be covered with any other color except yellow or a darker variation. The deep brown parts are impossible to cover as well, I chose brick color which works. The fun part was in adding various figures and figure grouping as in the four figures (Preiser Kit#10053) shown discussing the produce sales, this really added to life's reality as the figures are undoubtedly intended to be posed as I have done so. The figures outside the store added life in general as we all frequent convenience stores more than we know. I highly recommend this kit to anyone who doesn't mind taking artistic license to a new level and add to the overall kit.

It's a little bit fiddly but so much fun putting it all together - loved that there is actually things to put inside it.

"Good Project"

Very good project with plenty of interior and exterior pieces. The inspection of the kit revealed some molding flash, all the parts were accounted for and straight (except the foundation). The directions were clear and easy to follow. Took a little work to get all the corners, walls, roof, and foundation to line up correctly and seamless. The walls were thin and requires more than one coat of paint; as well as light block paint if planning to install light in the building. Overall this was a good project and fit well in any type of modern scenery.
